Fake news is a major threat to public health

The WHO recently announced that misinformation in the media about vaccines is one of the biggest threats to public health in the world.

In Denmark, the debate is about the HPV vaccine which has been heavily criticized. Several other vaccines have come into the spotlight when worried parents have to decide whether or not their children should be vaccinated.

To get a closer understanding of the press's coverage of vaccines, Jens Degett interviews media researcher and journalist Gunt Lystbæk Vestergaard from Weekendavisen, and talks to researcher Kristian Hvidtfelt Nielsen from Aarhus University (in Danish).
