Bifrost
June 2025 Marked an important step for Danish space history. A satellite launched into orbit on 23 June from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The launch is initiated by the Danish and Swedish Defense Ministries and a number of space research industries and research institutions. The satellite is called Bifrost. And the mission is broad. Science Journalist Jens Degett interviews Martin Laimonis Veicherts from the Danish Defense. There are many applications for the Bifrost satellite and it can also serve civil purposes such as observations of Ice coverage and temperatures in the arctic hemisphere and much more.
