[Best of] Denmark gets its own time

In 2021, while the COVID pandemic was raging, we sat with masks and long microphone cables and recorded this podcast about the need for a more accurate Danish time, which Denmark can use as a common reference.

As the demands for a more accurate time reference are increasing, we thought it appropriate to share this podcast about why exact time is so important. Various atomic clocks abroad have until now worked as a reference, but the atomic clocks show differently. If it has to be very precise, then it is not enough to use the Swedish, English or German time. Hear about why time passes differently in Sweden and Denmark and understand why time has become an important infrastructure

Science journalist Jens Degett talks to physicist Mikkel Schou Nielsen from the Danish National Metrology Institute (in Danish).
